Initial checkin
As you might have read on the main page this idea is going on for a while in my head.
17 years ago I started to think about it and now end of 2022 I still feel the need to do something about it. As my time is limited I will work part time on this project but even little steps can lead to something large over time.
The good thing is that there are now very good engines out there like Unity, Unreal or Unigine and I don’t have to reinvent the wheel. The years back with Irrlicht I had to integrate physics, sound and all that myself, so that’s a good thing not to worry about that anymore.
Initially the name of the game should be Silent Depth but over the years I used that name to create a 3d submarine sim for mobiles. I was a great learning experience and I think a fun game to play. I think Hostile Depths should fit it pretty well as it implies some action to come! 🙂
